Note: battery vs bike powered heated gloves. From the data I have seen and information from manufacturers, the heating elements in the gloves are the same for battery or bike powered. The main difference is that the batteries will generally last 2 hours on high whereas the bike powered will last indefinitely. It is a matter of personal preference whether one wants to be connected to the bike by wires and to install the wires. Personally I have chosen the battery operated gloves and I will use an extra battery pack for longer trips. In the past, I chose heated gear with wires and didn't like them. Furthermore, I also carry the Olympia gloves as a backup.

Olympia 4102 WeatherKing Extra Touch Gloves. Use with glove liner (for winter). I'm not recommending them for temperatures below 45 degrees F. on a motorcycle without hand guards. $100 at Olympia Gloves: click

Joe Rocket Classic Gloves (for spring and fail). $45 at Revzilla. click
